Using your payment account outside Zttld

Your account belongs to you, not to us. Here's how to reach it — and your funds — without going through Zttld at all.

The short version: your payment account is provided by Privy, an independent company — not by Zttld. The email you verified at setup is linked directly to that account, so you can sign in on Privy's own website with just that email, export your account's key there, and use it in any compatible wallet app. Zttld isn't involved in any of those steps and can't stop them.

Your account doesn't need Zttld

When you set up your payment account, what was created for you is a self-custodial wallet — an account on the Base payment network that only you control, held with Privy, Inc., an independent technology provider. Zttld is one way to use that account; it is not the only way. Even if you never open Zttld again — or Zttld itself were unavailable — the account and the funds in it are still yours to reach.

Your email is the independent way in

During setup, you verified an email address and linked it to your payment account. That link is what makes independent access work: Privy recognizes that email directly, with no Zttld sign-in involved. You can check or update the linked email any time from payment account settings.

Signing in on Privy's own site

To reach your account without Zttld:

Go to Privy's own site, home.privy.io, and choose Get started.
Enter the email address linked to your account. Privy emails you a six-digit code; enter it to continue.
The first time you sign in, Privy asks you to accept its own terms and privacy policy — this is Privy's agreement with you, separate from Zttld.

You'll see the same payment account you use on Zttld — same account, same funds.

Taking your funds anywhere

From Privy's site you can export your account's key — the credential that controls it — by following the on-screen steps (you may be asked to confirm with your passkey). Once exported, you can add that key to any compatible wallet app of your choosing and move your funds wherever you like. None of this requires anything from Zttld: no approval, no request, no waiting.

Handle the exported key with care. Anyone who has it controls your funds, and no one can undo a transfer made with it. Export it only when you need it, never share it, and never enter it on a site you don't trust.
